Job Timeout (network/ports>standard network>standard network setup>network card)

0, 10-225 Seconds

Set the amount of time it takes for a network print job to be cancelled.

Notes:

  • 90 seconds is the factory default setting
  • A setting of 0 disables the timeout
  • If a value between 1 and 9 is selected then Invalid appears on the display and the value is not saved.

Print Timeout

Disabled or 1-255 seconds

Set the amount of time in seconds the printer waits to receive an end-of-job message before canceling the remainder of the print job.

  • 90 seconds if the factory default setting.
  • When the timer expires, any partially printed page still in the printer is printed and the printer checks to see if any new print jobs are waiting.
  • Print timeout is available ONLY WHEN USING PCL EMULATION. Does not effect Post Script emulation jobs.

Wait Timeout

Disabled or 15-65535 sec.

Set the amount of time in seconds the printer waits for additional data before canceling a print job.

  • 40 sec is the factory default setting.
  • Wait timeout available only when printer is using POST SCRIPT EMULATION. This setting has no effect on PCL emulation print jobs.
  • Printer default is pcl language so this setting does nothing.

Job Hold Timeout

5-255 seconds

Set the amount of time the printer waits for user intervention before it holds jobs that require unavailable resources and continues to print other jobs in the print queue.

  • 30 seconds is the factory default setting.
  • This menu appears only when a printer hard disk is installed.
