Long Document Mode for the Canon DR6010C Scanner

Long Document Mode may be used when a user wants to scan a document beyond the normal document limit of the scanner. Long Document Mode enables the device to be able to scan documents up to 118 inches in length.

**Note** It is important to remember that this may or may not apply to other scanners. However, it is very likely that this will work with other scanners that allow page length changes.

**Note2** This applies to scanner settings in Windows 7 & Windows 10. Older versions of Windows may have another way to manage this setting.

**Note3** It is important that the scanner does not remain in Long Document Mode, as this mode only allows manual feed for documents. Long Document Mode also puts more strain on the scanner; extended use in this mode may shorten the device life.

1. In order to scan a longer document that goes beyond the normally set document length:Search the Control Panel for View Scanners and Cameras.
2. Please note that this option will not appear in the Control Panel, you must search for it.
3. This will take you to a display box that shows you any scanners connected to the workstation. Select the Canon DR6010C that you wish to change, then select properties. In properties, select maintenance.
4. In maintenance, change the default document length to Long Document Mode.
5. Click OK to save.
